Governor

Vladimir Vladimirovich Mazur was born on June 19, 1966 in Krutolozhnoye village of the Pervomaisky District, Tomsk Region.

After graduating from secondary school, he graduated from vocational technical school No. 33, majoring in Gas-electric welding.

In 1984-1986, he served in the Soviet Army. In 1992, he graduated from Tomsk State University with a degree in Law.

In 2003, he graduated from the Russian Academy of Civil Service with a degree in State and Municipal Administration.

In 2005, he defended his PhD thesis "Geopolitical Potential of Western Siberia in the Regional Development of Russia".

In 1992-2004, he worked as a Lawyer and Deputy Director at various enterprises in Tomsk, Kemerovo and Moscow.

In 2004-2007 – Deputy Mayor of Tomsk for Information Policy, Chairman of the Committee for Public Relations and Information Policy of the Tomsk Administration.

In 2008-2011, he worked at Zapsibgazprom, JSC: as Director for Property Management, First Deputy General Director for Production, General Director.

Since 2011 – Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region for investment policy, ecology and subsoil use.

Since 2012 – Head of the Administration of Tobolsk City, Tyumen Region.

Since 2019, he worked in the Kaluga Region: Deputy Governor, First Deputy Governor.

Since 2020 – Deputy Head of the RF Presidential Domestic Policy Directorate.

Since September 11, 2022 – Governor of the Tomsk region.

Married, five children.
