The district semi-final ended in Novosibirsk on January 26. The semi-final saw 332 contestants from the Siberian Federal District competing to reaching the finals of the All-Russian contest for managers. As a result, six Tomsk citizens qualified for the finals.
According to the results of the semi-finals, six participants from the Tomsk region became the best. These are Aleksandr Marchenko (NG-ProektServis LLC), Vladislav Alekseevskiy (BKS Company LLC), Mikhail Baklanov (ZUM TV LLC), Liliya Kiryanova (Tomsk Polytechnic University), Artyom Pospelov (SIBUR Holding PJSC) and Yuriy Shakin (Head Office for Sociomedical Assessment in the Tomsk region).
The competition “Leaders of Russia” provides an opportunity for talented and promising managers from all over the country to make themselves known. The participation procedure, the principles of selection, and the criteria for victory - everything in this competition is aimed at ensuring that job offers in the most important and key positions in all areas of government and, above all, in state government, are given to the truly capable, educated, and most importantly people striving for development,” said Sergey Ilyinykh, Deputy Governor of the Tomsk region for Domestic Politics.
He noted that Tomsk citizens are participating in the competition for the third time. In the 2017-2018 season, three Tomsk participants went to the finals, one of them - Vladimir Samokish – won the competition. In the season of 2018-2019, two contestants from Tomsk reached the final of the “Leaders of Russia”, and as many as six at once did so in the season of 2019-2020.
“This indicates a very high level of human potential in the Tomsk region, the quality of education in general and higher education in particular, the faith of Tomsk citizens in the future of our region and the country,” added Sergey Ilyinykh. “I wholeheartedly congratulate the finalists of the competition; I wish them a successful performance in the super final and, of course, victory.”
Also, 10 participants from the Novosibirsk region, four from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, three from the Altai Territory, Omsk and Irkutsk Regions, and one from the Kemerovo region, also came through to the finals of the “Leaders of Russia”.
For two days, the semi-finalists were solving management cases. Based on the results of this work, each of them received personal recommendations from the jury that will help draw up a further plan for personal self-development.
In addition to evaluation events, meetings and master classes were held at the semi-finals. To reach the super final, the semi-finalists will have to implement a social project as part of the “Heart of a Leader” assignment. Super final of the competition will be held in spring in Sochi.
The regional semi-finals of the “Leaders of Russia” were also held in the Far Eastern and Ural Federal Districts. According to the results of the semifinals, the 300 participants of the super final are determined. All of them will receive an educational grant of 1 million rubles. The winners of the “Leaders of Russia” will be 100 effective managers, who will be able to choose the leading managers of the country as mentors.
