Tomsk schoolchildren won in RoboCup international competitions

The team of the Tomsk Physical-Technical Vocational School took third place in the international RoboCup championship of the Asia-Pacific region.
10th graders Irina Vagina and Vladimir Fursov (coached by Sergey Kosachenko) won the RoboCupJunior Rescue Maze nomination (Rescue Robots). The Tomsk citizens designed and programmed an autonomous rescue robot that moved through obstacles and searched for victims in the maze, delivering them first-aid rescue kits.
A team from School No. 83 of Seversk performed at the competition with a theatrical performance "RoboCupJunior OnStage Preliminary" and won in the nomination of "Best Poster".

The international championship, held in Moscow, was attended by 189 teams from 12 countries. Competitions were held on four tracks – robot football, assistant robots, rescue robots and educational robots. Next year, the 2020 Asia-Pacific RoboCup International Championship will be held in October in Aichi (Japan).
