Tomsk Region to Allocate More than 2 Billion Rubles to Prevent Diseases

In 2019, budgeting of health preventive activities will exceed 2 billion rubles – that is by 30% more than in 2018.
Preventive measures include health check-ups for kids and adults, visits to health centers and a regional project “Health Route”.
“The target of the preventive measures is to avert contraction and progression of diseases, to enable their earlier detection as well as to give the patients an opportunity to learn about their health status and get advice from the specialists regarding treatment of existing impairments” – announced Sergey Dmitriyev, Deputy Head of the Public Health Department of the Tomsk Region.
According to the data from the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of the Tomsk region, more than 55.000 kids and adults have participated in preventive programs and projects since the start of 2019.
“Moreover, young people are getting more interested in a healthy lifestyle, they want to assess and check their health, - pointed out Alexey Rudko, the Head of the Compulsory Medical Insurance Territorial Fund, - Only in 2018 26.000 people had themselves examined in Tomsk health centers, almost 40% of them were aged between 18-35 years old”.
Please note that all persons going to the health check-ups or to a health center shall bring along their passports and compulsory medical insurance policies. All preventive activities are free of charge, covered by compulsory health insurance budget.
